Viewed a 172 today - few Q's...

Clutch is very snatchy/on-off in the 172.....takes a while of getting used to.

Droning definately sounds like wheel bearing

Yeh, my GF has found this! She doesn't like driving my 172 as her 106 is a piece of piss to drive! Oh well

With the clutch it almost felt like it was grinding a bit as I lifted it, although it wasn't slipping.

Oh I don't know. I'll wait and see what happens. My 106 is good and runs perfect so there's no rush to change at the moment.

I know what you mean Darren, no rush mate! I would sell the 106 and just go and view a few different 172's, that way you can pick the best and you're not tied to one car! Have you popped it on pistonheads??

106 is on Pistonheads.

Is awkward as if I sell it I can be able to visit any cars!

yeah right, Funniest thing i've heard all week.

As said above wait and a good one will come up. I waited ages to get one, All that i looked at were sheds then i found a 03 plate with 9k on the clock, Garaged, never took out in the wet for 7k. was really chuffed.

106 gti is like a lawnmower! I will race a 106 any day of the week.
Take your time and you will find a good one, I waited 4 months to find mine and it paid off.
