v6 clio problem

Hi everyone really need some help! Owned my mk1 v6 for three years only done 16000 and only one prob in those miles and that was a spark plug coil breaking down......but now a have a big problem and not even renault know the answers.....what happens is when it gets hot after running for a while the engine wont rev over certain revs in each gear 3000 in first 4000 in second 5000 in third and so on but still revs free if not under load....no warning lights show up and no smoke.....anyone had these problem or know the best people to talk too?

pretty sure its not coils but the cats have been offered as an explianation what else has your mate tried?
