Urgent: Ideas required.....

  PH2 Track Car
After fighting all afternoon to change mt rear discs i have given up and car is stuck a wheel down

Rear passenger wheel bearing has gone so started to remove only for disc to come away but leave rear half of the bearing sleeve stuck to the stub axle. Tried everything to move it forward but its stuck solid.

any ideas? last thought was to heat it up and hope it moves. Or is it going to need a new stub axle?

This happened on Stuntys 182. Issue was solved like most problems, with the use of a f**k off big hammer and chisel.

Just need to take a little care so as not to damage the stub.

Is the stub bolted on with 4 bolts? Cant remember. Can you unbolt the stub, place it in a vice (not clamping the inner ring) and try MC hammer to knock it off? Either that or as you said try heating it up. Would be careful though as if you damage the shaft you'll strugle to get the new disc and bearings on.

It needs to come off straight so try using a puller. On the other hand if it is seized on then a newstub axle is required.
