Anyone know of any cheap 24hr recovery services?

Need to get the car home, its in a dodgy country lane!

RAC wouldnt answer when i called for them to pick me up. but the AA/RAC would be the cheapest bet in most cases

cv joint has been playin up for about a week and ive been waiting for f**king gdi. the noise got really loud suddenly on the way home so ive left it. gona cost me a sodding arm and a leg to take it to gdi now (30miles). so itll have to be local garage unless they wana help with the cost. pisses me off cos ive been constantly trying to ring them but they never answer the soddin phone. its as if they dont want the business!
