Ultra Low Sulphur Unleaded

Was running low on fuel and had to fill up at Total Garage:sick:

Noticed that only had Ultra Low Sulphur which never used before, anyway car feels flat after filling up quite a noticeable difference.

Anyone used this before? What is octane rating of this compared to norm unleaded?

Its that bad gonna just drive all weekend to run it out need some proper stuff back in!!

Low sulphur means low emmisions dosnt it? Sulphurs harmful to atmosphere so probably means the fuel wouldnt be as efficient??

I think the ECU changes the map when its using 95, so its entirely probable that you may notice a difference in performance

I think youll find nearly all unleaded these days is Ultra low sulpher variety. The government gave a 2p rebate on the tax some time ago (after the big petrol blockades back in 2000) and all garages switched to ULSP and discontinued the older unleaded type.

You probably havent seen it listed as ULSP before as about 5 yrs ago everyone was putting stickers on to show that they were selling the cheaper stuff, but once it became commonplace, most garages took them off again.
