UCH, ECU etc compatibility between engine sizes

Morning guys and girls,

I just wanted to know whether a donor set of electrics in the form of the ECU, UCH, keys etc. would be a straight swap between different engine sizes, or whether I would have to find the parts from an identical vehicle.

totally different, the map on the ecu for a 1.2 is never going to be the same as a 2.0 etc

I own a clio v6 and My uch recently packed up and the man that fixed it tried a uch from a lower model and it didnt work but I'm not sure about any other models.

the uch is coded to the ecu I believe, needs to be a matching pair to work

Yeah the UCH should work in any engine size, there was only three versions made throughout the years N1, N2, N3. However it will need coding to the ecu I think!

The ecu will not, completely different.

Yes, a uch is normally sold with keys & ignition barrel. In fact the uch may not need programming to the ecu. MicKPM is the best person to speak to.
