Tyres for 17 wheels need help

Ok so just gotten some white 17" alloys 7" wide will 225/45/17 tyres fit and also be ok for a mk3 clio also is 225 better than 215 thanks guys

215 45 17 is the standard size for the RS clio mk3's so will fit fine.

225 45's will look like lorry tyres i'd imagine.
