ClioTrophy.co.uk has a register and there's a thread devoted to the life and times of 075. Definitely worth checking out if you're interested.

For me I'd want to cost up the price of buying replacement anthracite Turinis and front Sachs, plus getting the belts done by a specialist (not Renault themselves) and sorting the power steering issue. If you can buy it and get all that done for less than it costs to buy a sorted Trophy then it's a viable option.

The alternative is just buy a standard 182 / 182 Cup where you'll most probably see more value for money.

The Trophy Turinis are darker, not lighter, than 172 Cup ones!!.And there is no weight difference either

Owner is a bit special I think, he took a perfectly good trophy and then sold the seat, wheels, and dampers for no apparent reason

special ? i believe about 50% of trophies sell the same way im selling the one that i have, mainly because there is no market for these any more, and idiots dont realise a well spec'd trophy to warrant handing over what it's actually worth,

and p.s the recaro's are still in it

Yes no market for trophies, most buyers have little or no idea what the difference is between one and a normal clio, hence why its difficult to earn back what its worth.

I'm certainly not doing you any favours pal, I still have all the trophy items available , in which i may put back on at a later date, will need to make my mind up with the car i suppose!

Trophy prices have apreciated over the last 2 years. That proves there is a market for them. The people who put down the trophy's are people who either havn't driven one or drove/drive a broken one.

Maybe its just where i'm based , and maybe a 160bhp n/a car with a bit of handling doesn't excite me that much any more

& about not driving one ive done a good 20k in a trophy, and actually had the shocks rebuilt myself so certainly not a 'broken' trophy.

I agree a low mileage on around 60k or less may be worth money, but where I am its about a 600 mile round trip to get the belts done, then refurb turini's , paint handles , then once your £1500 is spent on a £3000 car your left with a 95k 182 that has cost you around 5k plus travelling etc
