Trading in both my Williams’

Possibly I will soon be selling both my Williams. There are no normal cars i would be happy driving after owning a Williams. So i was thinking about replacing them with :

A Ferrari (possibly a 348; worst Ferrari ever built?) (very possibly a 355 but i want to re-invest alot of my recently aquired capital so may not have the funds for this, i assume they are 50k + in price still?)

A Lotus Elise / VX220 turbo

A Honda NSX (one of the older models, maybe around 25-30k)

Any thoughts? Im leaning towards the NSX at the moment. I DONT WANT A V6

dont be a cheapskate m8! Get the 355 F1 in red!!!!! what about an R34 Spec Nur?

dont get rid of the originall Willy, that will be worth loads soon! (too rare to part with IMHO)

I dont want a skyline, they are too agressive looking, i like something with smoother lines (although a certain aggression). Ive always liked the 348 and i have a soft spot for the NSX. Last choice at the moment would be the Lotus / VX220 as im a big guy.

You can have first refusal of the Williams 0002, but are you sure you can afford it?

Lotus and VX220... bit girly m8, fast yes, but you need long hair and a perm to drive one. Not thought about a 328GTB? IMO the best Ferrari of all time (dont know how much they go for mind)

Is it 0002 or 0200? How much you want for it, as I may be interested myself... or know someone that is.

Theres a guy that lives round the corner from me and he seems to constantly clean his NSX. Its really very nice and makes me dream of ownership of one everyday!

after the endless pages and pages of threads about williams being the best handling car ever etc etc,

why you getting rid of it!!????

i know of a better car for sale,

<<<<<A 172!

yeah if the williams is so good why sell? the way u go on about makes it sound like the best car in the world. ever.

Gareth Keenan likes TR4s, they rule the most !

Buy a crap one for £1000, spend £2000 doing it up and sell it for £1500.......... theres profit there !

:p

Ignore the 348, the biggest thing about that are the bills.

If you want quality Ferrari without 355 investment go for a 308GTB. Classic lines, fantastic performance. Like the 348 though, always big bills around the corner.

The NSX is a good buy, but good ones are obviously rare and theyre not too cheap to run, either. Bespoke tyres last about 6000 miles on the rear, clutches can be killed on a trackday and with labour youre looking at £1300 a go.

Best bet would be an Elise S1 with a K20a conversion from the Honda Civic Type-R. Blink Motorsport (who support the BookaTrack trackdays) already do the conversions very successfully. 200bhp and 8000rpm out of the box with none of the K series reliability worries.

  Was a Clio 1.8 16v

With all this money you can obvously afford to give your best Willy away to me knowing that it will be obsesivly well-looked after and drivin by some1 who knows what there doing. ;)

Let me know if you take a shine to my offer. :D

  300bhp MR2 Turbo

TVR Tuscan or Cerbra?

Lotus Carlton - Escort Cosworth - Evo - Top end Scoob?

Many many cars in that price range depends on taste - what was the Ferrari in Magnum PI ?

Id get a TVR prob but always be worried about them breaking or me loosing it!

i was asking a question, i seem to remember about 5 pages of u telling us that the williams was better than an NSX R so why change it?

Rob, you have a go at me when I try and pull you back in line after some of your "outbursts" but when tom has a poke you instantly come running to us mods? hmmmmm......

Anyway, Tom! stop it, today hasnt been a good day for you, everyone else.... carry on as normal....

Nothing 2 see here.....

Well if it hadnt been accidently deleted, you would see that i never claimed a 60,000 NSX-R was better than my Williams. Just that my Williams beat one in a race. And it was 9 pages.

Exactly, so treat everyone the same. If i get warnings for outbursts, so should everyone. Which you have done, so thank you for being fair.

Are you looking for a car that will also be an every day driver, or just a toy?

Ask yourself what you want the car to be able to do, Im not having a dig, but judging by the other threads about handling etc, I think you could quite easily narrow down your choice as you know your driving style and roads your likely to drive on, so get something that suits both. You like the way a hot hatch handles and you also want something thats going to turn heads, is that right?

If your thinking along the lines of 355, then they can be had for around £40k. If you want to spend that on a car then you have loads of options. Maybe go for two cars again? One as an every day car, the other as a toy?

Yeah Rob, I am far, so I dont need the abuse that I have got in the past from some people out there for doing my job, and that includes you, but I never get an appology for it, only more bitchin.

  VaVa

Subaru STi Type RA Spec C. Might even be quicker than 0002.....

FQ 330?? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?? Does it have to be new??

VX220 Turbo for weekends and a 350Z for the daily commute?? Theres too many to choose from... narrow it down a bit!

Have to say its a nice position to be in!!

consider this, show me a TVR that will turn heads like a Ferrari ;)

to most people a TVR will be a fast looking car, but everyone knows a Ferrari when they see one.
