Trackers

  RS 172
Hey peeps,

My old man just got his new motor, but his current insurance company (Tesco I think) won't cover him until he fits a tracker to it.

He's been looking at some, mainly by Tracker themselves, who seem to want around £600 including subscription. Is this a normal price for tracking devices?

Just wondered if anyone here has ever bought a tracker and if you have any info on the options out there. Cheers.

rac trackstar are a tracker too, usualy price is less than the one you mention.

If the price of £600 includes a lifetime subscription it's not a bad price (it's only life time while he owns the car though) a new owner would have to pay their own subscription.

CLK 320, nothing amazing but its nice enough. I'll tell him to have a look at RAC. Yeah the £350 covers life time of the car.

My insurer wasn't fussed about the car having one on it. They made no change to the price at all. It has one though.

Don't give in to the insurance company. Trackers are a complete waste of money and time. I got RAC trackstar on my Impreza. Spent a fortune and eventually moved to an insurance company who didnt require me to have it anyway.
Just go to another company.
If its stolen you are hardly going to want it back anyway.
