To All With Low Seats

Was hoping to make one of my next mods for my ph1 172 some slightly more hardcore seats.

So far i'm undecided on whether I will be going for fixed or adjustable. I do know however that I will not have the £500+ for a pair of seats with subframes from the shops, so Ive been looking at modifying 2nd hand seats to fit my car, possibles on the cards:
Elise seats
CRX seats
Pulsar seats (not so hardcore and look ugly but my old ones were soooo comfy)
etc...

So I was wondering:
1. What seats do people reccomend
2. Has anyone had any trouble with the reach on there gear lever? as I feel very close to it already and I fear when i go lower (and therefore have to move further away) I will not be able to reach 1st/3rd and 5th

CRX DelSol seats are pretty damn comfy, but not the best looking, especially if there going into a 172...

I should say weight it my main issue here to, the lighter the better :rasp:
