Time for cambelt change?

  Clio 182
Just wondering what people think. My clio 182 last had a cambelt change at 54k in 2010 and is know on 101k I've seen somewhere Renault state 36k intervals for cambelt changes or every 5 years. What price would I be looking at for getting this done.

Aux belt is 36k 5 years (some say 3 years)
Cambelt is 72k/5 years.

Okay so it's time for a new belt then since the last was done in February 2010 and as far as I can tell looking through its history the dephaser and water pump wasn't changed at that point. Any idea of the cost of doing this?

I just paid £550 all in, but it ranges from that upto around £650 depending on location.

Out of interest how comes the water pump isn't done?
Mine is due another too. Don't know if i need to get a dephaser done or not. Its not noisy but the car is 11 years old and on 120k.
(sorry for the hijack)

Because it's not timing belt driven and can be done on it's own without the removal of the timing belt. The newer F4 and K4 petrol, along with K9 and F9 diesels are timing belt driven and so should always be done.

Hell I can beat that without trying: £717including VAT and 100% genuine Renault parts

Just had another quote from a local garage for £683 using genuine dephaser pulley cambelt kit and auxiliary belt kit. Is this a reasonable price to pay?

As far as I know he hasn't touched a rs clio before. There isn't any specialist garages that I know of near lincolnshire.

  A special one.
Seems a really good price since a local garage wanted £680, will give him a ring and get it booked in. Cheers mate
Local garage also won't have the Renault tool's or the experience to get the timing right.

Take it to Mick. [emoji3]
