You won't be gaming on that. Look for one that hasn't got onboard video and comes with a decent video card.

Then you can upgrade at will.

can i upgrade the card or is it fixed into the board ?

That one you linked to is onboard which can be turned off in the BIOS. It mentions PCIE which means you could use a modern video card in there.

The processor that comes with that one is hardly great though. It's a 1900MHz single core.
To play modern games with decent settings you really want an Intel Core 2 Duo or if you're on a budget then an AMD Athlon X2

ah right i understand, i was sent a link to a site where you casn build a pc to your own spec, if i pm you the link do you fancy entering the right parts so i can see how much that would cost me ? i can spend up to £400 but cheaper the beter really,

That would do you just fine, doesn't seem a bad price either to me.

I can't see any mention of an operating system though.

says in the listing windows vista ultimate ready, but im guessing its not on there just able to run it, have e mailed him to confirm tho,

expensive to sort vista?
and is it worth it aint heard much good from it,

Cost you around £60 for Vista Premium OEM, less for Basic and more for non OEM.

Dunno if it's worth it, using XP here. I believe you need it to play DX10 games(?)

thats cool , it doesnt have anything installed on it at the moment, he can install vista from £60,
or is there a way of taking xp off my current pc and installing it on that one, saving me the money, i dont have a disc or anything for windows tho,

If you have £400 budget if go for...

Gamers Base Unit. 8600GT. AMD AM2 64 Dual Core X2. (5200 , Standard Case , 1 X Nvidia GForce EN8600GT 256MB Graphics , 320GB Sata 2 Hard Drive , 2048 DDR 2 667 MHz , Vista Premium 32 Bit & Disc , Sony 18 X DVD Dual Layer Writer , Asus M2N-SLI Motherboard )

which comes to £406 and has your operating system installed. That should run most games for you, you wont get the highest level of details but for your budget I think it would be a good little system.

Give em a call on 0870 350 1560 and you might even get free delivery and they dont presurise you into a sale. I was on the phone for nearly an hour the other day going through things with them and they couldnt have been more helpful.

Hope you get something sorted :)
