Think I might of blew my amp.... (but not quite sure)

Hey all,

Got myself a JBL amp. (540w) Been working fine except now its stopped working and a red light is on where it says "safety". - If I havent blown my amp what do I need to do to get it working again?

check all the fuses

May of over heated, check its not getting too hot.

Do the above - check the fuses and if the amp is getting hot or not

Find out if your amp has a "safety function" on it - some amps will shut down if a speaker there is a short somewhere in the system.

That is about the height of my knowlede of car audio - only because I found out my own amp can go into "safety mode"

chekc no speaker wires are touching, the live hasn't got a short circuit etc. If the amp has gone into safety most of the time its fine just problems with wiring

Found the problem - the remote wire was dodgy, all fully sorted now. Thank you all for your help
