yeah that has got me worried about my mx5 lol if i got an s-body i think i would strip it down get it sandblasted then re-build it.
I'd be surprised if you didn't find a bit of rot in the sills/rear arches! I imagine mine was horrific - but never got round to having a look tbh. Yours being a '97, it might not be too bad actually...

well one of my arches has had itl ol so might as well get the sills replaced and then get the arches re-shaped after i get all the rust cut off ... fun fun fun lol
When was yours imported Turkish? Can't have seen too many British winters(/gritters) if there's no rot whatsoever!
Lad before me had it about 18 months IIRC. But he stored it over winter and tbh he didn't drive it when it rained either lol. I've no doubt it will have been used when it was wet in Japan but as they don't grit over there there's no issue with rust on the car.

You'll be fine with a recent import Joey, should be minimal rust at best. Pay through the nose though if you import one fresh, my friend has just paid stupid money to import his 15.
All I know is his budget of £9000 for the car alone was blown, before the £2000+ in fees etc to get it here.

Lol true, most on this thread are professionally taken photographs with camera's costing lots. Mine was taken with an iPhone 3gs in the dark as I was walking back into the house after cleaning it. Thanks for the comment on the car though!

i don't know rob, she was on Facebook, i schooled her hard and she called me a liar lol, saying she had a "nsx type r" as that was the badges that were on it lol!!! its had a bad cheap respray white from red, the front end fits soooo badly! and the engine bay is red and door shuts etc.... after i said there was no such thing as a nsx type r only a nsx-r she started saying she had a nsx-r she is a dick lol

LOL! Lorna sketchly or something. I know of her shes a massive bulls**ter and right chav. She used to race her little ek9 shed around northampton a lot how much was it up for sale for? She used to act like it was a £10k+ car.
