Not arty or anything, just a quicky off the iphone, but I liked it anyway as it shows both my cars and my neighbors! Silver ftw :)

Recently got a D5000 and beginning to get some half decent shots... a lot more to learn though, I can only dream of getting halfway to the quality of some of the stuff already in this thread!

Took this an hour ago with the whole tripod thing in the kitchen, not so great without a remote flash etc and a decent lens but I thought the focus on just the one dot how it turned out was alright. My first go at that sort of thing so it's time to learn! :)

The way I do it in CS4 is as follows:

  • Resize the image to 1024 on longest side;
  • Select --> All
  • Select -->Modify --> Border
  • Specify the width of the border
  • Layer --> New Fill Layer --> Solid Colour --> Ok
  • Then specify the colour --> Job done.
