sooo
since it has arrived, ive checked it out a bit more, and theres a few niggly bits, hydraulic lifters are well noisy, so i'll be changing those soon. including a full renault oil, filter change.
theres a couple of window rubber seals missing, so i'll be getting them ordered.
im well happy with the stance (although i want to space the front rims out 15mm
the alpine headunit with ipod lead so i can use my phone, in there.
the interior (although i need to clean it) is awesome - alcantara and leather
so today ive
painted the manifold crackle black to offset the cream engine cover - which i will be wrapping in carbon fibre
218105_10150158546534023_587484022_6763656_5017187_n.jpg

also APC'd the whole car to get rid of the wax Mat had put on yesterday,, sorry man! lol
ready for a full machne polish.
I spent 45 mins figuring a good combo for pad and polish and eventually settled on Sonus swirl remover with a hard compund pad, 2 passes at level 4.2 till polish brakes down, then 2 final passes with sonus fine show car polish.
i'll then be adding sonus paint sealer - i usually use poorboys, but ive not tried the sonus
then 2 layers of blackhole as it really pushes the depth of any dark paint
then 3 layers of zymol hard wax
so this is where ive got tonight
lots of swirls all over the whole car
222698_10150158579054023_587484022_6764196_2730188_n.jpg

some depth been added here
223384_10150158580109023_587484022_6764213_8168858_n.jpg

215340_10150158593334023_587484022_6764342_8099210_n.jpg

215583_10150158614304023_587484022_6764595_3254026_n.jpg

further plans are to finish the polishing, and detailing.
wrap the cream interior parts in carbon fbre
wrap the rear bumper infill panel in carbon (the thin black one)
ordering a new steering wheel tomorrow as the one in there is damaged - suede deep dish 350mm

oh, forgot to add, gonna be wrapping the whole car in the next few weeks to keep that lovely paint nice - yup, its a complete palmer motosport copy as their cars look amazing
like so
206962_10150154890164023_587484022_6730103_7562414_n.jpg

more to come!

did a bit more this morning, and got some sunshine to show it off
50 50 of the bonnet before refinement or LSPs

zatzy.com numberplate surrounds. I'll be making a vinyl front number plate later today due to the smoothed out bumper meaning ive got nowhere to mount it - gonna use euro font rather than uk though
217560_10150159082219023_587484022_6770492_873646_n.jpg

might wrap the diamonds tonight also, but catching up with todays british superbike racing, which means i may not be doing anymore........

  Ph2 172 MB 77/468
nah, fast road. although got my bike, and thats always faster, but sometimes theres just need for a car!

  Ph2 172 MB 77/468
because i can ;)

i do wrapping as a sideline, so its a rolling advert aswell really. it wont have palmer etc on it, just my company name, and some other random shopping lists

  Listerine & Poledo
I see.

fair enough, like you said, keeps your paint safe.

out of interest, how much would it be to wrap a 172 in gleaming white?

  Ph2 172 MB 77/468
wraps vary wildly in price really, £1000 seems to be a good starting base for wraps in gloss colours, although some offer them alot cheaper. ive been trained by Grafityp UK and Autostripe Sweden (who did the carbon lambo LP that was at the gumball last year)

that rear numberplate surround is rotten.

car looks decent, dont be so quick to put the sheep down mind, people usually copy eachother as it looks good or is beneficial...

  Ph2 172 MB 77/468
white and black vinyl being delivered tomorrow for the wrap, already got the red in stock, so will start cutting graphics tonight :D

good job on the correction looks proper mint TBF

altho by wrapping the car white your are infact still following the sheep a tad! what 80% of cars out there that get wrapped are either wrapped white or matt black should have gone for something abit more out there if your trying to promote your business etc

  Ph2 172 MB 77/468
plate surround is from the forum i moderate on in sweden.

yeh, i know what you mean about the white, but i am having the other graphics on it to promote my wrapping - it will be a bit hard to miss.

im actually making a new plate tonight for the back as i think the standard size plates are just a bit too big. i'll be making one a little smaller than the standard, but a bit bigger than 3/4

made this up to show the side view graphics.

and this shows the size of the front plate i made last night - the rear will be the same

steering wheel fell through as the supplier (although listing my cars boss on their webiste as in stock) dont have one to fit, and after ringing the company that makes them, realised they dont actually make one at all.......

  Ph2 172 MB 77/468

  182 track, Mk7 ST
Love the look your going for on this and certainly is different in a good way!

Do you do all graphics and vinyl work in general for the public (like the elf stickers your making etc)?

  Ph2 172 MB 77/468
Nah, just make them for myself. Got sick of timewasters asking for one offs then moaning at the price or never even returning emails etc

  PB172
No offence but whats the point of putting the numberplate where it was before the front bumper was smoothed off? :/ The smooth front looked cool before it :(

Mint though, I'd love to be able to wrap a car, at work experience this guy always came with the vinyl and wrapped cars in a day, looked sick aswell! Haha.

  Listerine & Poledo
I'd love to wrap a VXR8 to look like the HRT's from last year :(
But, first,I need a VXR8 and the V8 Supercar body kit

.

i see where your coming from, but it just looked a bit empty at the front, i normally hate to run no. plates on the front, but i felt it needed it.

i went down a size or so because it had the front end smoothed, and the fact it was a vinyl plate showed it was smooth all over.

if you get me lol

  Ph2 172 MB 77/468
pretty much finished the back end last night

230467_10150167097794023_587484022_6855427_4142104_n.jpg

still not sure about the ring sticker, might rip that back off, also not sure about the rockstar sticker because of the stripe. might re-allocate that around the car

  Ph2 172 MB 77/468
redid the roof, bonnet and tailgate as i didnt like the black stripe

226445_10150170283529023_587484022_6882977_4157336_n.jpg

wingmirrors are red now also
started opening up the opening in the TRS towstrap, and sending the wife off to get some M16 bolts today.
cut open the bumper to fit it also.
considering a rear one with bumper cutout for it, and actually cutting out the diffuser area and getting a new raised exhaust.

  Listerine & Poledo
rockstar badge would look better where that 'ring sticker is, in my book anyway.

Good to see there's plenty of room on the bonnet now for a huge "sponser" graphic.

Maybe something like

;)
