taking apart the interior of a 58 plate clio....

My wife helpfully dropped her engagement ring down the gap between the handbrake and the handbrake surround.

i've popped out the bit of plastic infront of the handbrake but that's not really helped as it has gone further back, I'm guessing to, under the rear cup holders.

How much of a ballache is it to remove that centre bit (or just lift up the back bit enough)?

I can see some screws either side of it, can I just unscrew these and be away?

Thanks,

Wiltsteve

I thought Torqs were more 'star like' where I think these were hexagonal.

I only got on the case as my local renault service centre wanted £70 (not sure if that was +VAT) to do it.

I'm lazy, but not £70 lazy!

:D
