Superchips or Unichip

Hi,

Would like to know which is better? Superchips or Unichip ?

I am driving a Renault Clio II 1.4L 16v, from Singapore.

uni chip is definitely better, however they cost over £100 more

For Superchips, its about S$550= GBP203, only +6bhp, need 1 hr to install

For Unichip, it cost S$850=GBP 315, should have more bhp, need 2 days for road tuning...

which one should I go for?

If you can afford it, the unichip, well worth the extra in my opinion

and you would potentially have 94bhp to find! hahaha!

seriously, as i said before, if it aint doing to be setup on a RR, then dont bother, you cant fully map a Datsek unit on teh road only......not precise enough.

How I am sourcing for engine code K4M, engine for 1.6L 16v Clio RSi, Scenic, Megane. Being sending emails to many breakers in UK.

Wanna stroke up my engine from 1.4L to 1.6L, using the internal components, like conrod, pistons, cams....etc

Do you think its feasbile to do it then to get a unichip?

I have tried a 1.4L 8v Clio with unichip, the power is fantastic,

Surely there would be places in Singapore where you could pick up a 1.6 16v engine or 2.0 16v valve of some sort , maybe even a 172 engine .

Renault are not popular in Singapore, most are Japanese cars....

we went to the renault singaore operation and its very good.....

you should be able to get some stuff through them.

your 1.4 16V has 98bhp!!!

the 8V has 85bhp!

yours will be easier to get power out of!

do not downgrade!!!!

i dont know about teh compatability of teh engine parts.

for all you know, the crank may be to long, have to long a stroke or too large a journals that it wont actually turn in your block or sump.
