Stubby Ariel

Trying to get a stubby Ariel of my car so I can fit a standard one but seems really tight any tips how to remove it...

I had this issue mate when I got the car previous owner had put one on and it had corroded onto the base. Ended up replacing the whole unit for an oem one

Make sure theres not a grubscrew in it and twist? Stick a molegrips on it

Spray some penetrating oil down it then get some molegrips. You'll shag it removing it but then its off
