Stolen 182

  Audi Q7, Avalanche
simple answer, lets start a campaign to bring back hand guns and create a 'deadly force' law then if anyone endangers your life (by life i mean your car! haha), give them a warning of 'i am armed and in fear of my life' which is like lighting the blue touch paper! haha then give them the good news. or use a good US tactic, have a pump action shot gun, load it up with close shot slugs but the last one being a blank. say exactly the same thing while pumping and cocking the weopon, if they dont scarper, fire off the blank, trust me their sphincters will be losing more than just their shape! haha

a little extreme i admit, but this is what our society is driving us too, the Chavs, scallies and low lifes are being ever more protected by the law and are basically free to do as they please with no fear of any reprisals. How someone can break into your house, scare the living daylights out of your wife and kids, traumatise them and try to steal your car etc.. then you beat the living s**t out of them and you are the one branded a 'danger to society' and are prosecuted for assault or even worse GBH. its about time we stood up for ourselves! we all know the police have their hands tied behind their backs the majority of the time (namely because their other hand is holding a speed gun or writing a speeding ticket!). perfect example, an 83 year old man died of a heart attack in southport in the north west after being abused by a bunch of youths. and these are the future parents of our country!? something needs to be done and soon!

ok rant over ;)

Totally Gutted for you m8 I really am. Hope you get the Trophy. If you can get the pics on 2 so we can have a look. Cheers m8

seems to be quite a common thing these days. a guy i know's wife had an 04 plate 182 withcup packs etc they had gone to the pub one night about 3 weeks ago and after having a few to many left the car in a smallish village near where we stay. they went back the next day an it was gone never been seen since.
they have both keys the police arn't prepared to open their eyes and look beyond the fact they think it's an insurance job.i suppose the bits will be sold to make a track car for someone.
this was in scotland by the way so more than likely totally unrelated but if i owned a 182 i would seriously think about getting a tracker fitted.

my mams bmw was stolen in a similar way no marks or evidence. they use a decoder to open the car its like a radio that when you lock your car at night it detects the code and the the 'b******s' use that code to open the car with no damage or noise. however the decoder has to be close to detect the code the police found the one use for my mams car and ironicly they used an old police radio! they will then drop the handbrake and push it silently away. needless to say we never saw my mams bmw again, sorry mate

Sorry to hear of this, but at least you are well insured and no-one was hurt.

I like the Police description "a little bit of damage to the rear"

My Dads MG Montego was nicked years ago, and found a few hours later after my mum had reported it. Plod asked if we'd like to collect it, which my mum refused as me and my sis were only young and she culdn't leave us - just as well really as the car had been left on bricks with the engine running, had all the glass smashed and the seats and headlining slashed....

Just a thought though.... could the car have been stripped after the police first spotted it? Assuming their initial comment of light damage was correct could they just have slapped a Police Aware sticker onto it before sorting it out later? A Police Aware sticker round here seems to be a sign for anyone to take any part they need....

On the subject of getting keys cut from the VIN/Reg - is this really possible!? I'd be shocked if this is the case as both are visible from the outside of the car!

Sorry to hear about his :( at least u know no one was hurt during or after it was stolen and that no little chav has got it. its a sorry tale i own an escort at the moment and make sure i leave it fully disklocked up at all times. some one nicked my mums cd player or tried to nothing was heard and the way they do it so we were told by the window guy is by pushing a screwrive in the edge of the window and in effect pop it inside so no noise is heard from the window or the glass on the floor! crafty pests! best wishes for it all to be sorted xx

Well good news is that the 3 little tits who took it have been caught questioned and ready to go to court, one of the lads prints were all over the car and luckily he had a police record and finger prints on file so was took in for interview and he grassed up his two mates who were with him lol Result...

Can confirm it was put on a trailor and driven down south were they had planned to strip it so the parts could be put onto a damaged vehicle that was bought at auction and sell on...

Why my car god knows just unlucky i think...

As for insurance company can't praise them enough apart from the s**t first offer of £9000 although i have taken the second offer which is £9880 which i'm more than happy with given the decline in prices recently...

What next??? well your guess is as good as mine but whatever it is will have a Tracker on it!!!

Thanks for support chaps.

Scott.

Well, at least they caught the little sh*ts, that doesn't happen often. The worst bit about it though is, the little f**kers will probably get off pretty lightly. They might spend a few months inside if they are really unlucky. This is why the little f**kers do such things, they know if caught they aren't going to suffer too much. (unlike the poor sod they stole from). If the penalties were higher they might think twice! I don't know if I would be able to go to court and watch the case if it was me, I think I might well end up getting myself into serious trouble. I'd want to smash their faces in, make them really suffer. I know it isn't the answer, but It would make me feel sooooo much better. The ironic bit though would probably be, I'd end up inside for attacking the little sh*ts, but they'd end up on the ouside with just community service or something just as daft. Makes me 'seriously' angry!

A good result overall I guess though, and as I said before, at least you don't lose out financially. Good luck with choosing your next car. :)

great news mate. its a nice change when car thieves actually get caught, and has also answered all your questions such as how they even got it in the 1st place etc

  182 Full Fat
What dicks, I bet thay were gonna put your 182 bits on a standard clio as well. Shame these things happen. Lets us know if you hear about what conviction they get.

  Inferno 182 w/ Recaros ;)
LOL if you read the other page you would find out that they were going to put them on a damaged 182 that was bought at auction.

It wasnt stated as to what model car was damaged just that it was a damaged vehicle bought from an auction to which they were going to replace with parts from mine to fix and sell on.
I'd have thought a 172/182 though.

Oooh good news, a result for once! Guess they'll get off lightly but at least they were caught and you get a decent insurance payout.

What car are you going for next? 225?

EDIT: ooh my 2000th post..!

  Clio 172 mk2
Glad you got a result and the insurance has paid up:D

Stressful experience though.....I've never had a car stolen but I can only imagine how bad it must be.

I had my side strips nicked couple of months ago and the silly t**t left some blood on my door - police matched it and I am now going to court to p[rosecute him. More than anything I just want to see who it was as apparently he isnt even 16 yet so cant go to prison but has been done for this numerous times so if he doesnt go to a young offenders home I shall be keeping an eye out for him late at night! As my brother in law said - it isnt illegal to have a balaclava in your car! Police wont tell me his name for obvious reasons so I really hope he turns up at court.

Good result

I take it this scum must have a record already if they matched his blood with their records.

When I bought a car of a guy once he told me he had his last car stolen off his drive late at night, it was out in the country with long fast country roads, but 2 miles away from his house his stolen car was found completely wrapped around a big old tree with a dead thief behind the wheel! Justice is done! f*ckers! :D shame about the car tho! :(

Because he aint even 16 yet Tim, the law will try to protect him as sad as that sounds! They'll probably keep him out of the court room not to mentally upset him! Fookin joke it is
