Steering not right

Hoping you guys might be able to help me as my steering keeps veering off on my 182cup. When I turn my steering wheel when engine is off can hear a knocking once engine is on seams to go away. just had new tires wheel balanced and tracking done. Checked track rod and ball joints which are all good also had new front wheel bearings. I live in Milton Keynes any specialist around that I can take her to have a look at for me as I have a 60 odd mile round trip commute daily so it's only going to get worse quickly.

When you say the knock goes away when the engines on, do you think thats because of the engine noise, but knock still present? Or knock actually goes away?

Springs/shocks in good condition?

Springs and shocks are ok. Been to check the knock not as loud with engine on think the power steering working so not knock as much. Anyone have a number for beaniesport can't find a website?

How do you know the springs and shocks are ok?

I had a knock from the front of my car recently, turned out to be my brand new Koni shock absorber and couldn't tell without removing it and wobbling the shaft (lol) I had very similar symptoms to what you are describing.

Oh wow that's not good will have to have a look into it. I was thinking it's something to do with the steering rack maybe will have to get someone to shake my steering wheel so I can hear if knock is coming from my shock. have spoke to the guy at beaniesport am going to go see him Friday afternoon so he can take a look at her. Went to see the guys at beaniesport today and it was as I feared it is my steering rack. I must say the guy there was extremely helpful and I'm really happy I went over to him. I only went over to find out the problem and get that sorted but he give the old girl a good look look over also topped up my wiper fluid and oil for me to without me asking. He is going to get back to me with a price. I must say I'm glad I went over to see them now as you said before top guys!
