speedo sensor and gearbox problem

im not sure if anyone has had this problem, but my speedo has stopped working, so i did the self test on the instruments and thats fine:dapprove:

so i brought a new sensor which still hasnt cured it!!! so i put a drill on the new sensor and the speed goes up and mileage etc, so i think ive got a problem with my gearbox!!! my cars a 172 but has the sensor in the box. has anyone got any advise?


im wondering if something has broke in the gearbox.

the trigger wheel may of been broke

you have to split the box to get to that!

nice can you get the bits from renault? looks like its not goin to be a simple job
