clio 182 cup

Ive been reading posts on here for ages and thought you guys would be the best people to help..
I currently own a 182 cup that i purchased from a friend who ran it dry on oil.. so i replaced engine so have myself a nice weekend car
Im fairly mechanical minded and the engine swap went very straight forward..
Anyway the reason i need help..
In 12 months time me and m a few mates are going to nurburgring but we are doing as a low budget road trip.. we have to buy a car with a value less than 400 and modify it also for that price..
So i have found very very local to me a 1998 1.2 clio.. now i dont want to take a 1.2 to germany and was looking at the options of putting a 1.6 lump into this.. Has anyone done this ?? would any renault engine from this eria fit ? is it just an engine change or full loom swap??
Im about to do a deal on this clio for £150 and kinda would know if this is possible before i get it.
I really would apprciate any help guys and would put a thread up of my build.
