Snapped subframe bolts

  Clio RS 172
When removing the gearbox from my 172, some of the bolts have snapped.

Due to the position it is impossible to get access to the bottom of the bolt, any one any ideas as to how they can be removed?

thanks

Un-f**king-lucky!

probably have to drill it out and get an easy out on it or drill and tap it

If they're too tight I doubt you'd get much luck with an easy out but it's worth a go before tapping it

Wouldn't it be easier removing all bolts, drop the subframe and remove captive nuts with remaining bolt still in place.

I would of thought the captive nuts would give way before the bolt to be honest.

I'd drop the subframe anyway purely for access reasons tbh.

Know a welder? Weld a nut onto the broken bolt and try again?
