Smokey Joe!!!

ok so girlfriend has been complaining that the exhaust seems to be pushing out a bit more smoke than usual and car sounds abit dodgy.

She goes to start it earlier and *click* - nothing.

So ive been down to have a look at it (at her work) and same thing. click, nothing. so i turned the ignition on and off and on and off stamping on the gas pedal and after about 30 seconds it started!

managed to drive it home from town in once piece, but there is a HELL of a lot of exhaust smoke coming out the back and it stinks. Engine isnt overheating.

The more you press the gas pedal,the more smoke you get

any idea what the problem could be??

took it down to the garage and he reckons the head gasket has gone.

was going to say h/g, it'll be drinking water. easy to do on the energy's just becareful of the liners in the block not coming adrift when taking off the head.

im not really mechanically minded. how much is this gonna cost me to get it fixed? (in a garage)
