siezed strut bolt

  1.4 clio rt
well ive done the torsion bar on my mk1 clio, got round to doing the front, and the bolt in the engine bay just will not loosen. im using a 21mm round spanner and an alan key to hold the piston rod still and sprayed penetrative oil over it and still it wont budge! the torsion bar was kids stuff compared to this! any suggestions or anyone had this problem?

breaker bar is a big bar which you can attach sockets to basically. It doesn't have any sort of ratchet on it and can be used to get tight nuts off as they are usually quite long and give you a lot of leverage.

yep thats a breaker bar, but no use in this situation IMO, use an impact gun (like the one the RAC sell for removing wheel nuts) cost = £15ish from halfords
