Should I Buy a New V6

I am becoming more and more struck on the idea of buying a new Clio V6, and was just after some opinions/views/thoughts on the car from owners, or people that have been in one, seen one, etc (I havent even seen one in the flesh  !!)

I understand I could pick a brand new one up from a certain place for £21.5 (not saying where just in case they have limited numbers) and it would be a UK spec with full warranty, etc Does anyone know if there is a catch to this ? This price is almost £6k cheaper than a Renault dealer !

As I said before, Id love to here any points about the car, be they good or bad. The only fault Top Gear could find was the poor turning circle so it cant be a bad car !

Many Thanks

Matt

turning circle is bad - thats it - everything else is tremendous !!!

do a search on my postings just lately - they have all been about the Vee and how brill it is - we had 172s/Cup before.

Terzo, Ill tell you now, you wont get a V6 for that price, the very cheapest you will get one now is for £24,500.

I was planning on getting one for the last two months, I had 3 different sources(brokers) that had cheap V6s on offer. When I went to order one, every one gave me the same story. Reanult UK are not supplying the V6 at fleet prices anymore!!

<<<<<< Hence, Ive ended up with this beast!:D

go for it, you only live once, chances are this will be about your only chance to get one, go for it!!

its one of those things tht its a big stepo but you never end up regretting it, even when you are skint as f**k for the next year or so

Paul, your wrong mate, although the price quoted of £21500 or whatever is bull! You cannot get a pukka Renault UK car for this price.

Im picking my brand new Renault UK supplied Mk2 V6 up on Saturday morning and its cost me £23460.03p OTR.

And if you dont beleive me ill be more than happy to point you in the direction as to where Ive purchased this from.

Cheers, Stevev6.

Steve, I know where you purchased it from, when I checked with Lloyds last week, it was up to £24,500!

Paul, Ive just been on thier website, your right and I stand corrected. It looks like ive had a real result then fella, coz mines all payed for at the price i stated above. I did hear from a certain club member, who shall remain nameless, that they had sold it a little too cheap to me!

RESULT!:D

And GR, let the count down begin, again:p

YES!!!!! Forget the fact it has 2 seats and its a little tail happy and all its other little niggles which its bound to have.....this is a stunning motor car and it would be my choice if I had the available funds. Make sure you have plenty of Kleenex to hand though :D

Got mine for 22.5k, 2k on the clock, November 03. Mint cond.

Was gonna buy from Renault, but didnt fancy paying 26k, which was the best they reckoned they could do. So I told them to stick it!!!

Isnt the £21.5k import price? I think so. Its imported from Belgium or Renault France and registered first in the UK. No VAT etc to pay, thus saving you the £3k. Few people dont like dealing with imports but I was told that said imported V6 would cost £21k - £22k.

I think 27k is definitely too much. I wonder if theyll drop the price a bit later on. You can get a WRX STi or hot EVO for that money, not that I really want one, but they are a more hi-tech car.

Who is selling import V6s?

Id have to agree with D-Cup - too much moneyIf you want Rear wheel drive and a big V6, go for the 350Z with GT pack.

No knocking it, but whichever way its dressed up, its way too much money for a Clio. But if you have money to burn, go for it.
