Shocker top split

Hi I have recently bought a clio cup which I am trying to return to a nice example. The car has a few problems but one that I am tackling first is that the passenger shock has split at the top where the Allen key goes and I can't seem to remove the shocker. Has anyone else had this problem and what's the best way to remove it. Cheers
