Service/Airbag light on - fix?

Thanks to some bad road maintenance ... big pothole, bang, nearside front & rear seatbelt pre-tensioners fired off
So anyone know how I get rid of these that have appeared as a result (airbag & service light on)

Local garage (not a RS specialist) reckon I need a new ECU but I don't believe that. Any advice apprecitated - thanks
Dan

Have you tried just fiddling with the wires underneath the seats? Sometimes my service and airbag light comes on when I go round corners too quick haha. So I just have a little play with the wires and it goes off.

If your Pre tensioners have gone off, i'm 99% sure it will need a new Airbag computer.... £££'s.

If its just the connectors under the seat (if you can't see them you must have your eyes shut) Just pull off the connectors and solder the wires together.

How do you know the tensions have gone off?

Big bang, lots of smoke in the cabin, also you can see where the seatbelt buckle tensioner has been pulled in on the front seat, and the rear belt is locked fully in (i.e. the belt will not pull out). Pretty obvious really :dapprove:

bloody hell , thats a bugger , u wanna spk to your local council mate , we pay road tax so our roads are looked after ! looks like an epic failure by the council

Yeah, unfortunately it happened on roads away from home and I didn't get any photos at the time, and it's 200 miles each way to go back ...
