what do they actually do in renault to fix this problem?

is it just cut the connector off and join the wires

They put a longer cable in, so it doesnt stretch and cause the problem. Depends on the garage really.
 


The RUK Fix is to cut the connector out and solder the wires..

Why? because the connectors are Sh*te..
On the MK 1 (1998-2001) you remove both Drivers & Passenger Connector.. On the MK2 (2002 - on) you only Remove the Passenger side Connector..
 


If there was a problem on the 98-01 cars why on earth has it not been rectified in the models released since?

That doesnt make sense Renault :confused:

weird that because we still get the fault on both sides. is that stated on the tech note then?

oh right. never read it ive just been doing both sides as its seems more commen sense and you can still claim the time.
