Sensor problem 172 cup

Hi

A couple of weeks ago my speedo decided to stop working. It works most times but now and again it stops. Also on Saturday I noticed my break lights were not working too is just that both sensors need replacing or could it be something else?

2 seperate sensors. One is in the gearbox, one is on the brake pedal frame work

Is it a big job to replace the speedo sensor? My speedo is only working intermittently
