scratches!

alright. i bought a 16v bonnet for my RSi a week ago, fitted it then took it to a bodyshop to get it painted. they made a gd job and i had the badge rcess filled and smoothed looks good. Then , my car broke down and lucky a few guys were around to give us a push to jump it but I ended up with a prettty deep scratch a few cms long up the bonnet. Any ideas if the bodyshop could touch it up easily enough or shoul d I attempt it myself and whats involved

cheers

Otherwise if it is pretty deep, get yourself a touchup pen kit from halfords, i work there p/t, theyre no more than £10.

As said before i would use the T-Cut and its got a chipstick thingy with it, you just build up over it...

Only about £7 from Halfords...

I used some turtle wax cutting paste on mine, then t cut colour magic and then autoglym

Can hardle see it now. it was quite deep too

cheers everyone, i took it to the bodyshop in glasgow where I had the bonnet sprayed a few weeks previously and he simply made up a makeshift brush, trade trick I think with a bit of brown paper and then brushed on two layers onto the scratch il let it dry then t-cut it should hardly be able to see it now.

I know a guy that works in a renault garage. the bonnet new is 100+vat then the bodyshop filled the badge recess and sprayed the lot. all in it was £180 that was for the boonet sprayed and smoothed, the tailgate flushed and whole back panel sprayed, crabon insert below boot coded and side strips colour coded, quite a gd finish!!!il get some pics soon!

cheers
