Scenic shifter problem

Hi all I bought a 182 2 weeks ago an it has a scenic shifter on its really sloppy ?? but the main problem I'm finding is when i change to 3rd I end up punching my radio what's the best way to move the shifter back or a just it thanks

Move the black gear change rod further on onto the gearbox shaft? Ignore the yellow circle.

yES,with the clamp.

Run a short shifter or extend the base

Okay do I just undo the bolt an it'll slide forward ?
