Has anyone used it?
I'm looking at rural ish houses and am being quoted 1/2mb on Broadband so need to look at other sources!

Apart from being more expensive what are people's thoughts?

Latency will be high so no good for gaming. Upload will be via modem or 3/4g and download will be via satellite.

Can be unreliable (bad weather affects the signal) and very expensive.

Data limits tend to be very low on all but the most expensive packages.

Have you seen there are government subsidies available for certain locations which can't get above 2Mb?

Only worth considering if the mobile signal is totally pants, each network has a signal strength checker which are usually accurate.
