Running save mode

Help me people just had my cat and mid section put back on my car as it's mot time, tried to drive home but there is no power above 3,800rpm
my engine light is on how can I sort this out???
as I kick it past 4k the power is like a turbo lag nothing nothin nothing then boom it shoots the car forward, do I need to disconnet the batt to reset the ecu or somthing ???

Its the lambeda sensor isn't plugged in or damagd when they put the cat back on.
