RS125 Bike

anyone had any experience with these, have to sell the car soon to get a joint one with the missis but still want some fun so was thinking of getting a bike. any info would be great!

As in Aprilia RS 125? Very very quick when derestricted, but my mates that had them had a good relationship with the dealers when they had to take them back every few thousand miles for an engine rebuild. :S I had a Honda NSR 125, quick and it never let me down once My personal experience on them anyway, can't deny though that any of the RS's were lovely looking bikes though

Very very nearly bought one. I also looked at Cagiva Mitos and Honda NSR's. Apparently the Aprilia isn't made in Italy anymore, and the ones that have been are more desirable on the 2nd hand market.

I had one when I was 18, good little bikes. Need to take it very easy on them until they are warm though.

Goes for anything really. But aye, anything Italian benefits from TLC.

Even more so with the 2 strokes though, most smaller bikes you will be ok after 5ish mins of normal riding. I always found the RS took a good 15 mins to get ready to get a good rev.

i had the Rs 125 and loved it but got banned after owning it a year

bought it new and as with the arrow exhaust its very very fast and great fun nice and light, the best 125 you could buy

only problem was that i was only 20 and on L plates the insurance was crazy

if your buying 2nd hand most have probably been thrashed to near death or crashed

Really? I was 18 on L plates and was playing under £300?

sounds a bit cheap to me but hey i was with norwich union at the time

I was with a bike specialist.. I was on restricted mileage though as i didn't use it much.

oh rite, i had my arrow exhaust declared so maybe that had somethin to do with it plus i had 0 no claims i think i was paying around £800 and donno if it made any difference but the bike was brand new

thank fuuuck im 27 now cheap insurance
