Return MP3 player?

Afternoon, I bought a sony mp3 player from Comet last month. Its been cutting off and battery going dead alot. even when fully charged it will die after an hour or so.

I've got the bag, reciept, and all the stuff that came with it. can i get a full refund or would they want to do tests on it?

Its an intermiting problem and as i play with it now it works fine, Just bloody annoying when out on a walk and ive no music cause it dies!!

Rule of thumb is

If it's within 28 days you can demand a refund/exchange
After that it's up to store if they refund/exchange but they have the right to send it off for repair.

If 2 repair attempts fail then you can demand a refund/exchange.
