I have searched on the forums but can't see that anyone has asked this question.
I have a Ph1 172 leather steering wheel where the leather is kinda spoiled; not massively, but it could do with improving!
I don't have the budget for having it retrimmed by snappy etc, so i was wondering if anyone has used a leather restore kit on their wheel, like this one:

I know it won't give fantastic results, but i guess i am worried that i'll start and then discover that the 'leather' is way too thin to restore, or maybe not even real?
If anyone's had a go at this i'd like to hear from them!
