Replacing Lifters

I'm getting a ticking noise which is loudest first thing in the morning, Still does it after engine oil has warmed up.

There are times when I can stop at some lights and the ticking isn't there for say 30-40 secs and then it kicks in?

It's hard to tell if it disappears when the engine is rev'd above 2k.

So my question is, Can I just replace one or do I need to replace all 16?

Will be on the lookout for some if any members have spare?

BTW, I did an oil change using 5W/40 Edge and it's made no difference?

dephaser sounds more like your prob

give it few week then change oil again i had it happen once i had to change the oil twice or so was mint after then. also when i droped the oil i let it get well HOT

o if it happens that u gotta change one in the end then u might as well change them all otherwise ud b pisst if another started ticking a week later

It won't be the lifters, it'll be the dephaser pulley.

As much as I hate to say it, as it seems to be the latest cliche round here.

Id look at the dephaser first.
