Replaced rear pads - left handbrake on

Parked the car up ready to remove the dampers for a refurb and thought I may as well replace the rear pads whilst the car was off the ground. Have a feeling that I did not release the handbrake when I replaced them but cannot be sure!

Have I done much damage? Pads fitted and car brakes as well as it always does - and the handbrake seems ok!
