Renfort Plate

just bought a Renfort plate, does it go over the shim and circlip to hold them in or does it replace the shim and circlip? It's come with no instructions and although the French guys who sell them are helpful the French to English translation is not the best 🙈

Take the circlip and washer out and fit the renfort plate in its place. That should then hold the drive cup in place.

The ones I use don't use the circlip or washer at all, but it's been a while since I did the renfort plate.

If you remove the circlip and the washer, then offer the renfort into place you'll be able to see if there's too much play in the drive cup (in and out) then you need the washer as well
