Renault Specialist South west?

  200 RS 2010
Im posting this here as apparently the dealer, specialist, trader section is private? even though im a member?
Basically im looking for a Renault specialist in the south west, primarily the Bath or Bristol area.
Ive found Renatec in Bristol and AVS in Tunley. Does anybody have an experience of these guys?
Or can people recommend any good garages near me that can help with anything i may need doing with the 200 ive just bought.

Thanks

Dave

Send it back recorded ASAP and keep your fingers crossed. Assume they were the cheapest?

3.7% and said free mot for lifetime of the loan lol just hope they're f**king snappy.. it's agony waiting to sit back in those lush huggy seats and floor it hearing that Scorpion exhaust growl as I rev up to 7000rpm hahaha

Don't even joke lol that's why I'm searching for a local specialist who can give it the once over after I've bought it, I trust the guys I'm buying it from as much as £3 note

Trader or private sale.

Must be cheap if your buying it from someone you've no faith in.

Sadly we used to have sjm autos on Glastonbury but he's shut up shop, probably not making enough money.

Ive yet to find anyone around the Bristol area with a decent reputation for exclusively Renault sports.

I took my old clio 172 cup to 24/7 in Whitchurch for a new steering rack, bushes, discs and pads and they did a great job. Not too expensive, friendly and quick. I've used them for work on my derv galaxy as well.

Gonna get them to do my dmf and clutch fit on the megane soon too as I've built up some trust with them.
I'm not sure how there are with the cam belts on the f4r engine though as they're quite specialist with specific timing tools needed. I've not asked either yet though so might be able to do em.

thanks for the input, a Trader, but then again you cant trust any of them in my book. Apparently the 200 had its cambelt changed on its last service in March, but all i have to prove it is a stamp in the log book from a garage in Derby, guess i could ring them when i get the car.
Theres a main dealer in Bath where i live but obviously i dont want to pay those prices.

Yeah I'd give them a call and see if they confirm the belts being done. If so then your set for 5 or 6 years, can't remember which one for the 200's.

Sadly dealers do get a bad rep, some deservedly so but some are reputable. Who you buying from?

We have a great reputation, just sayin :)

But yeah give them a ring, check the belts have been done.

Nothing wrong with getting it checked out independently and any faults the garage will or should rectify them.

Could even go the whole hog and get it on a trusted dyno, make sure it’s running properly.

Tbh if you have any issues with the car etc, this forum is ace at helping others out.

Yeah ill ring once i get the car. Looked into 24/7 Whitchurch, they seem sound with a good set up. Might give em a ring and see if they'll give car the once over for me for piece of mind. Its only 13 miles away and not too bad a drive with some ok B roads on the way lol i tell them they were recommended to me

Ah dammit. I have a Clio that had some Cams put in by SJM Autos and trying to work out which ones so the garage can do the the service.
