Can this be done easily? Anything else need to come off bar the bolts for the sump?

And I assume it's sealant to put back on, no gasket?

May have got it wrong ? But it was a bit more than just whipping the sump off and plastic tray ?

What are the benefits of upgrading the rod bolts, is this the weak part on the bottom end or is it the rods themselves?

As I said dan got it wrong , but we did find a lump of sealant floating around in sump ? That was worrying

Standard from the factory. Ive pulled apart a couple of untouched factory F4R's both had a shocking amount of beige silicon in the pickup (the standard sealant used by renault on the main cap). tut tut renault.

That's right it was beige , the oil light on and the oil level was correct, so had the engine flushed new oil and filter light went out may have been that .
