Removing Oil filter

  172 CUP
I did a search on here and found a few guides but not found the answer.

Can do the oil change no problem but when replacing oil filter..........

How does it come off Twist, Pull?

How tight? Able to undo with hands or tools needed

Does any oil come out when removing filter after draining or does it all come out under the car?

Cheers :D

Take the fuel rail cover off first, makes it a lot easier to get to the oil filter!

They just unscrew so twist anticlockwise, I always loosen them off by hand where possibe when the engines cold, then do them hand tight, run the engine up to temperature, drain oil, unscrew oil filter (old gardening glove or bit of old rag to avoid a burnt hand) a bit of oil tends to dribble out of them but a bit of brake cleaner will get it off no worries!

If its really on there tight you're going to need an oil filter removal tool, or you can try putting a rubber glove on to give yourself more grip!

Hope that helps!
