Recommended place to get my belts done in Halifax/Huddersfield/Bradford Area?

Hi guys,hope you can help me out - my 182 is over 5 years old now and around 37,500 miles so obviously i need my belts replacing - im tempted to just go to a renault garage as they should (hopefully) know what they are doing but reading quotes on here of £600+ has put me off..

Does anyone know of any renault specialists/garages around the Halifax/Huddersfield/Bradford Area that do it at a good price? Anyone had their belts done round here? Im in Brighouse and work in Keighley..

Im a bit wary to go to an independant garage as ive heard you need the official renalts tool to do the job and some might not know what they are doing..

RS Murray in Leeds? Previous owner of mine had this one done there apparently. Other than that it's the usuall specialists that are highly regarded on here. Birchdown/Rentech/K-tech etc etc.

hi mate. did you find anyone to do your belts? im in the same area as you and my 172 is 7ish years old with 51k on the clock, jus bought it with no service history so might do them if i can find a decent price. cheers

Yes mate i used a renault specialist centre in Doncaster as that is where my g/friend lives - it was around £450 which is a good price i think..

Renault quoted me £1100 for both belts which is an absolute joke..

ok cheers mate. few people said go to Birchdown Auto Services in Cheshire they do it for 240 but i think thats just for the cam, and also had a quote for £340 in dewsbury so will have to see. do you notice any change in driving after having them done?

No i dont notice any change,but obviously i really needed them doing because of their age - i had Eibach Speedlines fitted at the same time as one of my front coils had snapped so i was noticing a difference from those being put on mainly!

Renault Manchester are doing a deal at the mo £525 all in. Think its extra for a courtesy car if you want one for the day.
