Rear strengthening brace

  turbo 182
Just bought 1 of those cheap 160 pound rear cages from ebay and im going to get it welded in insted of bolted,
whilst I'm there at the fabrication company im
going to ask them to weld a steel bar going across from 1 rear arch to the other to act as a sort of rear strut tower brace, going to ask them to weld it about 1-2 inch below where the strut top rubber comes
above the arch
has anyone done anything similar to this or is it a
waste of time? I have a whiteline rarb just seams
to make sense to have something ontop aswell, I have herd the rear omp braces that bolt
onto the top of the strut tower are a waste of time tho,

So opinions pleaseespecially from track goes/race drivers

thanks
