Rear Caliper Fail

  172 Cup
So this happened this morning as I was driving to work, driven roughly 3 miles, light braking on the main road coming into a bend and *Bang*
Discovered the caliper had literally split in half. No obvious signs of why this happened, cant see any cracks.
Changed the pads not long ago but cant see why that would have caused it, they were working fine.
On the lookout for some rear calipers now if anyone has some?

  dan's cast offs.
hard to tell from the pics, could just be where it's pulled the thread?

op, what did you torque the bolts to? and how easily did the top bolt go in?

You dont have to touch that bolt when changing the pads. Only the two caliler bolts.

Thats s**t.

Never seen it either. Also no bolts other than wheel bolts need to be removed when changing rear pads.

Just the clip and retaining slide comes out;)
