Rear Badge removal nightmare

  172 Cup
well removed the renault sport and clio badges on the rear, for the replacment rs200 one! and Im having a right nightmare trying to get rid of the outlines of the old ones tried TnB, t cut, polish etc etc and the outline is still visible at certain angles', any other thing/things I can try? I was going to wet and dry it (2500) but wasnt too sure if this was a sensible idea or not as to having no clue about car paint work

Cheers

white spirit it and then polish like hell with some AG srp using plenty elbo grease. ' should ' sort it. depends how old your paint work is, as above probably could do with a good DA session
