You need sound to really appreciate it.I loved this era and was lucky enough to actually see these cars racing in the flesh when i was a child. The sounds were unbelievable when they went passed and the driving skill was awesome. Its a shame that the Group B rallying ended but i think it was only a matter of time with the fatalities and eventual tragic death of Henri Toivonen in 1986.

Sad year for Group B

A common dialogue between a Group B engineer and Group B rally driver.

Driver - "The suspension is too stiff"

Engineer - "We'll raise the boost then"

Apparently Nigel Mansell drove the Peugot round Estoril in 86 and would have qualified 6th for the 86 Portugese Grand Prix.

These machines were just awesome in their time and i have always admired them and their drivers.
